Bulgaria încheie afișarea duală a prețurilor în leva și euro, un nou pas spre moneda unică europeană • Newsweek România
Bulgaria will end the mandatory dual pricing system in leva and euro by August 8, 2026, moving closer to adopting the euro. Starting August 9, 2026, prices will be displayed only in euros, with leva shown voluntarily for reference. Consumer protection measures will remain in place, and authorities will monitor unfair practices and price increases. Banks will continue to exchange leva for euro until December 31, 2026, while the Bulgarian National Bank will offer unlimited free exchanges. Transparency rules for large retailers will also persist.
