ANAR: Danube hits all-time low of 1,400 cubic meters per second

The Danube is experiencing a historic low flow rate of 1,400 cubic meters per second, expected to remain stable until August 12. The water level at Cernavoda is currently at -218 cm, projected to drop to -228 cm. This stability allows for safe operations at the Cernavoda power plant. However, there is a national water deficit affecting several regions, with 80 localities facing water supply restrictions. Additionally, 61 localities relying on wells are also under restrictions. The main reservoirs are currently 71% full.
