The Iași City Hall refuses to accept responsibility for an accident at a playground where a child fell from a slide due to a broken railing. Initially, officials blamed the child for improper use of the slide. Following the incident, which occurred in September 2024, the municipality was fined for failing to provide necessary safety information on the playground equipment. Inspectors found that the equipment lacked required warnings and that the last maintenance check was overdue. Despite ongoing repairs at the site, the city hall has not acknowledged its legal obligations regarding equipment safety and maintenance.
