Companies that timely pay their profit tax or micro-enterprise income tax for 2025 can receive a 3% bonus automatically. The Ministry of Finance has approved a procedure for this tax incentive, which does not require any application from the firms. Eligibility includes submitting all tax declarations and having no outstanding tax obligations. The bonus will typically offset the taxpayer's fiscal obligations, and if not compensable, it may be refunded. Last year, companies received approximately 269 million lei in bonuses for the 2024 tax year. The new procedure will be published in the Official Gazette of Romania.
