Ședință de urgență la Ministerul Energiei. 80 de mari consumatori industriali, convocați pentru reducerea consumului de electricitate
Over 80 major industrial consumers were summoned by the Ministry of Energy to discuss electricity consumption reduction due to a national alert. The meeting aims to address the decreased electricity production caused by drought and low Danube water levels. Romania is currently operating only one reactor at Cernavodă, raising concerns about potential power outages. Authorities are encouraging companies to adjust their operations to off-peak hours to alleviate pressure on the grid. The government has also approved emergency funding for measures to ensure the safe operation of the nuclear unit, which is crucial for national energy supply.
