The month of August sees a surge in tourists on mountain trails, but also a rise in accidents. Salvamont teams are always ready to respond to emergencies, emphasizing the importance of prevention. They encourage tourists to prepare adequately for hikes to avoid accidents. The '−1' campaign aims to reduce serious incidents this August. Data shows a continuous increase in mountain accidents over the past 25 years, highlighting the need for safety awareness among hikers. In August 2025, Salvamont conducted 585 interventions, rescuing 701 individuals, while 13 fatalities were reported. Tourists are urged to respect the mountains and support the '−1' campaign.
