The construction progress on the Cluj – Oradea – Episcopia Bihor railway line is strong, with work ongoing on all four lots to meet PNRR milestones. Secretary of State Horațiu Cosma reported significant advancements, with over 70% of the track laid on the first two lots and 30% on the third. Optimism remains high for achieving European milestones by August 31, which could attract around 2 billion euros for Romania. The goal is to reopen sections of the modernized line by 2027 and complete the project by 2028, ensuring a modern, electrified, and safe railway connection for Transylvania.
