Primele 11 trenuri electrice PESA sunt la câteva zile de intrarea în circulație
The first 11 new electric trains from Polish manufacturer PESA are expected to enter service soon after resolving contractual issues. Transport Minister Radu Miruță stated that most problems between the manufacturer, the Railway Reform Authority, and operators have been addressed. The state withheld full payment to PESA due to unmet obligations. Miruță criticized the contract negotiations, claiming they were disadvantageous for Romania and did not benefit local industry. Eleven out of thirteen trains are ready for operation, with five going to private operators and six to CFR Călători. If further delays occur, legal disputes may arise.
