The latest incident occurred near Sulina-Chilia, with the drone being neutralized just five minutes after entering Romanian airspace. This rapid reaction contrasts with previous incidents where pilots only monitored unidentified flying objects. The Ministry of National Defense reported over 100 drone attacks near the Romanian border since the start of the war in Ukraine, with 18 unauthorized drone incursions recorded in 2026 alone.
