50 de milioane de persoane de vârstă activă sunt în afara pieței muncii în UE: măsuri anunțate de vicepreşedintele Comisiei Europene, Roxana Mînzatu
The European Commission has adopted a communication on the future of the European Pillar of Social Rights, focusing on helping individuals facing barriers to employment. Nearly 50 million working-age people in the EU are outside the labor market, with over 31 million being women. Many of these individuals wish to work but face various obstacles, such as childcare issues, disabilities, and health problems. The initiative aims to provide tailored support rather than compel individuals to work or reduce social benefits. Proposed measures include needs assessment, professional training, and improved collaboration among employment, health, education, and social services.
