Expunerea pe termen lung la zgomotul produs de traficul rutier ar putea crește riscul de Parkinson, arată un studiu
Long-term exposure to traffic noise may increase the risk of developing Parkinson's disease, but having a quiet side of the home could provide some protection, according to a new study. Researchers from Denmark analyzed data from over three million residents, finding that noise levels significantly impacted Parkinson's risk. For every 11 decibels increase in noise on the exposed side of a home, the risk rose by about 3%. Conversely, a quieter side of the home acted as a protective factor, reducing the negative effects of noise exposure. The study highlights the importance of considering quiet spaces in assessing health risks associated with noise pollution.
