New flu vaccine batches are expected to arrive in Romania by early next week, according to Health Minister Alexandru Rogobete. The delay in production affected not only Romania but also other European countries. As of October 15, only about 45,000 doses of Vaxigrip and Influvac were available in pharmacies, while intranasal vaccines for children and seniors were sufficiently stocked. The Minister encouraged vaccination, noting an increase in uptake this year. Additionally, he plans to introduce HPV vaccination programs in pharmacies by the end of the year. He advised those with mild viral infections to consult their family doctor instead of emergency services.
