On October 20, the euro slightly increased to 5.3285 lei, coinciding with the investiture of Prime Minister Luca Niculescu's government. The BNR reported this rise from 5.3272 lei the previous day. The US dollar was valued at 4.7516 lei, while the British pound stood at 4.7520 lei. Niculescu is set to present the government program and cabinet list, followed by a parliamentary vote for confidence in the new executive. The vote will be conducted secretly at 14:00, after all proposed ministers received favorable opinions from parliamentary committees.
