40% dintre angajații români de peste 55 de ani vor să lucreze și după pensionare, depășind media europeană • Știri Brașov Biz Brasov

Over 40% of Romanian employees aged 55 and older are willing to work post-retirement, surpassing the European average. This trend arises amid a significant labor shortage in Europe, prompting governments to raise retirement ages. Interestingly, 34% of younger Romanians under 35 also express a desire to work longer, influenced by job quality. Nearly half of Romanian employers report staff shortages, with the issue more pronounced in certain European countries. Older employees show less inclination to retire early, often citing personal time and health as reasons. They also exhibit higher job satisfaction and confidence in their abilities, even amidst automation. However, many feel they lack adequate support for adapting to technological changes, highlighting a need for employers to create attractive options for older workers.
