Zelenski a semnat Legea Educației. Copiii minorităților vor învăța în limba maternă • Newsweek România
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed amendments to the education law, allowing minority children to learn in their native languages. This move responds to Hungary's demands for advancing Ukraine's EU accession talks. The amendments ensure that children from national minorities and indigenous peoples can receive education in their mother tongue alongside the state language. The Ukrainian Parliament previously approved these changes, which Hungary welcomed as a condition for supporting Ukraine's EU negotiations. The EU's Permanent Representatives Committee is set to approve common negotiation positions regarding Ukraine's accession clusters following this legislative change.
