BYD plans to increase its workforce in Europe to around 40,000 by 2030, transitioning from an exporter to a major manufacturer. The company aims to hire from the automotive sector and other industries, including those laid off by European firms. BYD is also finalizing its first European factory in Hungary, with potential expansions in France and Spain. Despite challenges in the European market, BYD's vehicle sales outside China have surged by 86% this year.
