AUR: Oricât o apără liberalii pe Oana Țoiu, ea va trebui să răspundă pentru cedarea dreptului de veto al României !

The Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR) successfully passed a declaration in the Senate emphasizing Romania's right to protect its national interests in EU foreign and security policy. The initiative, led by senator Cristina Dumitrescu, criticizes the lack of a clear mandate for interim Foreign Minister Oana Țoiu regarding support for qualified majority voting over unanimity. Despite opposition from the National Liberal Party (PNL), AUR demands clarification on the minister's mandate and calls for parliamentary consultation before any decisions that could affect Romania's strategic interests. The declaration highlights the importance of veto rights in safeguarding national interests and insists on transparency in establishing national positions. The vote resulted in 64 in favor, 29 against, and 9 abstentions, with the text to be sent to relevant institutions.
