This case is part of a larger scheme involving 67 Russian billionaires using Cypriot firms to conceal wealth and evade sanctions. The investigation, based on leaked documents, showed how Deloitte manipulated financial records to obscure Abramovich's offshore holdings. Despite sanctions, Abramovich retains significant assets in Turkey. Other oligarchs, like Alexei Mordashov, also utilized similar strategies to protect their wealth from international sanctions.
