Adolescenții consumă mai puțin alcool și droguri, dar un alt comportament îi îngrijorează pe cercetători. Ce arată un studiu din Portugalia

A recent study in Portugal shows a decline in alcohol and drug use among adolescents, but warns of persistent risks for vulnerable youth. The ECATD-CAD 2024 study by ICAD highlights that while overall consumption has decreased since 2019, certain groups still face significant challenges. Social media usage is identified as a major concern, particularly among girls, while boys are more involved in risky behaviors related to video games and gambling. Although problematic gaming remains stable, gambling participation has increased. The study also notes that recent alcohol and drug use correlates with higher chances of problematic incidents. Most adolescents consume alcohol for fun, but some use it to cope with personal issues, indicating potential for harmful consumption patterns. Factors like good academic performance and parental supervision are linked to lower risk behaviors, while poor school results and lack of supervision increase vulnerability.
