On Wednesday, DIICOT prosecutors detained a young man for making terrorist threats against ethnic and religious minorities. Since October, he has allegedly threatened individuals on social media with violence and even threatened to destroy a place of worship in Bucharest. The 21-year-old will be presented for preventive arrest. Last year, he was arrested for assaulting a Bangladeshi food delivery man, an incident that sparked awareness about immigration issues and xenophobia in society.
