Italia cere UE mai multă flexibilitate bugetară pe fondul inflației. „Regulile trebuie adaptate”
Italy is seeking more flexibility from the EU regarding budget rules due to rising inflation and energy costs impacting its fiscal plans. Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti will address this issue at the upcoming Eurozone finance ministers' meeting. He argues that the EU should consider inflation trends when assessing member states' budget deviations. Italy's inflation rate has surged to 4.1%, significantly higher than the previously estimated 1.8%. Giorgetti emphasizes that external factors, like energy price fluctuations, should be factored into fiscal evaluations. The Italian government plans to approve its 2027 budget next week, aiming to balance fiscal discipline with economic support measures.
