The Romanian Parliament has approved a law allowing motorcyclists and scooter riders to use bus lanes and weave through stopped traffic at traffic lights. This initiative aims to ease traffic congestion and reduce pollution in urban areas. Once the law is promulgated by the President, motorcyclists will have designated rights to use bus lanes and can overtake vehicles without penalties under certain conditions. Additionally, road administrators must create safety spaces for motorcycles at high-risk accident points. Special parking spots for motorcycles will also be established in public parking areas with more than six spaces.
