Gheorghe Moldovan, a referee who recently committed suicide, had reportedly planned the act in advance, initially intending to do it during his daughter's birthday party. His wife revealed that the tragic event was meant to occur in front of family members, highlighting the emotional weight of the moment. However, the plan changed when she suggested spending the day with their daughter instead. On the day of the incident, Moldovan arrived at his wife's home wearing a shirt with a message about divorce and shot himself in the head. Emergency responders could not save him, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The initial date for his plan was July 21, the day of his daughter's birthday, which ultimately did not happen as intended.
