Mihai Chirica, pus sub acuzare în dosarul „Păcura”

Mihai Chirica, the mayor of Iași, has been informed by DNA prosecutors that he is a defendant in the 'Păcura' case, which involves mismanagement of state fuel reserves. He visited the DNA office for about an hour but did not provide detailed comments afterward. The investigation focuses on a payment made by the municipality for missing fuel reserves. Other city officials have also been questioned in connection with this case, which has been public since December 2024, when prosecutors began examining various municipal entities and requested relevant documents regarding the local heating system.
