Ciuma există încă în lume. Harta țărilor cu cele mai multe cazuri, după moartea suspectă a unei tinere într-un laborator din Rusia
A map from the World Health Organization shows the spread of plague over the past seven years, gaining attention after a Russian lab worker's death. The woman reportedly broke a test tube containing live bacteria while collecting samples. Although she was hospitalized and died, Russian authorities have not confirmed plague as the cause. The WHO identifies three main forms of plague: bubonic, pneumonic, and septicemic. The disease is present on all continents except Oceania, with nearly 4,000 suspected cases reported globally. In Russia, at least 197 individuals who may have been in contact with the deceased have been isolated, and several hospitals have been quarantined. Authorities have not officially acknowledged the situation, leading to speculation about a cover-up.
