The application includes a four-second audio clip of her saying "Io sono Giorgia," a phrase linked to her autobiography and a famous political statement. Meloni has faced manipulated images online, which she condemns as misinformation. She emphasizes the need for users to verify content before sharing. While her application is under review, it may not fully prevent the misuse of her voice in deepfakes, though it could impose legal challenges for unauthorized reproductions. Meloni has previously taken legal action against a man for creating deepfake pornography using her likeness.
