In the last 24 hours, over 83,000 individuals crossed Romania's border, with authorities identifying 91 legal violations. Fines totaling 20,200 lei were issued, and goods worth nearly 1.2 million lei were seized. On October 3, approximately 83,600 people and over 14,700 vehicles were checked at border points. Since the onset of the Ukraine conflict, more than 16 million Ukrainians have entered Romania. Authorities conducted over 15,700 checks using the eDAC application. From 2025, drivers between Romania, Hungary, and Bulgaria will not be stopped for border checks, although authorities can still perform checks within 30 kilometers of the border. In total, 91 illegal acts were identified, with 43 classified as crimes and 48 as contraventions, leading to fines and confiscations.
