TAROM has officially introduced its second Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, named after champion Ivan Patzaichin, with an inaugural flight from Bucharest to Chișinău. The route symbolizes the connection between Romania and Moldova, reflecting shared history and culture. The aircraft was welcomed at Chișinău Airport with a traditional water salute, emphasizing Patzaichin's legacy linked to water sports. The first Boeing 737 MAX 8 entered service in September, named after Mircea Lucescu.
