Cum au salvat bulgarii de la moarte o fabrică veche de peste 150 de ani - Economica.net
The oldest locomotive and wagon factory in Bulgaria has been transformed into a modern industrial and technological center in Ruse, following a €60 million investment by Bulmarket Group. The new LVZ industrial park spans 17.6 hectares and features over 53,000 square meters of built space. The main unit, LVZ 1866, will produce, repair, and modernize freight wagons and maintain diesel and electric locomotives, with an annual capacity exceeding 1,000 wagons and 200 locomotives. Seven companies with over 210 employees are already operating in the park, which is strategically located near Romania and the Middle Corridor linking Asia to Europe. The factory ceased operations in 2013 before Bulmarket acquired the site in 2020 and began reconstruction in 2023, expected to last three years.
