The implementation of the Deposit-Return System (SGR) in Romania has been successful due to constant dialogue among stakeholders, making it a model for other European countries. Anca Marinescu from RetuRO highlighted the importance of collaboration between beverage producers, retailers, and authorities at the "Made in Romania" conference. The SGR has led to the return of over 12 billion packages and has shown that a functional infrastructure encourages new consumer behaviors. The project exemplifies how public-private partnerships can effectively address environmental policies.
