The M&A market in Romania reached an estimated value of €2.3 billion in Q3 2026, significantly up from the previous year, driven by a notable acquisition by Electronic Arts. The number of announced transactions increased by 52% to 93. Excluding the Electronic Arts deal, the average transaction value was around €16 million, with the Industrial Products and Services sector contributing the most. Investor interest remains strong, supported by positive fiscal measures and stable country ratings. Strategic investors led the market, with local investors accounting for 38% of transactions. The report indicates a higher proportion of transactions still in the signing phase, reflecting longer approval times and increased investment activity.
