He highlighted the importance of these funds, which have significantly contributed to Romania's development over the past two decades. Mureșan noted that the cohesion policy has financed infrastructure, education, and healthcare improvements. He also linked infrastructure investment to European security, especially in light of the Ukraine conflict. A conference in Bucharest gathered European politicians to advocate for cohesion policy, stressing its role in reducing development gaps and enhancing regional strength across Europe.
