The Brașov City Hall is advancing its goal of securing EU funding, having signed a contract for 20 million lei, including 15.7 million lei in non-reimbursable funds for the first phase of the "Green Path" project. This initiative aims to create bike lanes connecting key areas in the city, funded through the Central Region Program 2021-2027. The project, which was previously stalled for four years, includes bike lanes of varying widths and a bike-sharing system with automated stations. Mayor George Scripcaru emphasized the importance of sustainable mobility solutions for Brașov.
