Cum explică BNR saltul uriaș al euro și la ce să ne așteptăm de mâine: „Situația este complicată”. Urmează verdictul S&P
The euro rose significantly against the leu, surpassing 5.34 lei, prompting discussions about currency volatility. Dan Suciu from BNR stated that this increase does not indicate a collapse of the leu, emphasizing the expected volatility in the market. The rise coincided with the upcoming S&P rating announcement for Romania, raising concerns among investors. BNR's reserves decreased by approximately 4.8 billion euros in September, attributed partly to debt payments. Suciu noted that the current situation differs from the 2008 crisis, and he remains optimistic about maintaining Romania's credit rating, citing decreasing inflation and deficit as positive factors. He acknowledged the challenges ahead, particularly in balancing currency and interest rates.
