Specialists from the Brukenthal Museum will examine documents found in a hidden cylinder in the Council Tower, potentially revealing new historical insights about Sibiu. A time capsule was discovered on September 28, 2026, during restoration work on the tower. The cylinder, about 15 cm in diameter and 30 cm long, contains documents believed to be over 100 years old.
