Henkel's Adhesive Division plans to invest over 4 million euros from 2023 to 2026 in energy efficiency and carbon emission reduction projects across its operations. Of this, 2.9 million euros will be allocated to its Pantelimon factory, the largest adhesive plant in Europe. The company aims for carbon-neutral production through various initiatives, including energy efficiency improvements, renewable resource usage, and the installation of photovoltaic panels. Additionally, Henkel is electrifying its internal logistics and using biomethane to further reduce emissions. The Pantelimon factory has achieved zero Scope 1 emissions by fully electrifying its operations.
