Răzvan Popescu, CEO of Romgaz, emphasized the strategic importance of the Neptun Deep project in the Black Sea during the Eurogas conference in Bucharest. He assured that domestic supply for households is secure, while industrial consumers face challenges due to fluctuating European prices. The Neptun Deep project is expected to produce around 8 billion cubic meters of gas annually by 2027, enhancing Romania's role as a major gas producer in the EU. Officials highlighted the need for balanced energy transition policies to support local production while addressing Europe's dependency on external gas sources.
