The Ministry of Education has launched the PRIMII program to combat functional illiteracy and school dropout among primary school children. Funded by the Education and Employment Program, it has a budget of over 1.21 billion lei and will run for three years. The program aims to support vulnerable schools and enhance learning through remedial activities. Applications for funding are due by October 12. The initiative targets schools at high risk of early school leaving, providing resources for after-school programs, educational materials, and student support services. Informational webinars will be held to assist schools in project implementation.
