This week, ANPC inspectors conducted checks across various establishments, uncovering expired meat products, unsanitary conditions, and unauthorized operations. Over 1,800 operators were inspected, resulting in 965 fines totaling 4.2 million lei. Inspectors halted the sale of goods worth over 110,000 lei and suspended 27 businesses until issues were resolved. They found expired meat, dirty kitchens, and inadequate safety measures in children's play areas. Many establishments lacked necessary authorizations and proper hygiene practices, raising concerns about food safety and consumer protection.
