OpenAI has announced it will provide Ukraine with advanced AI-based cybersecurity tools to help detect and fix vulnerabilities. This initiative is part of the 'Daybreak' program aimed at enhancing the cybersecurity of Ukraine's civilian infrastructure. The announcement coincided with the UN General Assembly, where Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is scheduled to speak. Ukraine faces ongoing cyberattacks from Russia, with nearly 6,000 incidents reported in 2025, affecting critical sectors like healthcare and energy. OpenAI has also extended its cybersecurity AI models to the EU Cybersecurity Agency and several European countries.
