The company, boxd, aims to enhance its team and product development with the new funds. It focuses on creating infrastructure for AI agents in programming, offering virtual machines for developers and AI to run code and manage workflows. The platform allows teams to create multiple cloud machines quickly, enabling efficient parallel work on features and bugs. Founded in 2025 in Amsterdam, boxd's CTO, Laurențiu Ciobanu, has a background in engineering and has held various roles in tech development.
