Young individuals who turn 18 can continue to receive state child allowances if they are enrolled in high school or vocational education. This is in accordance with Law no. 61/1993, which states that the right to allowance does not cease at 18 for those pursuing studies. Additionally, young people with disabilities can receive allowances until the age of 26 while attending pre-university education. To maintain their allowance, they must submit a request to their educational institution, along with necessary documents such as identification and proof of enrollment. Schools are responsible for reporting eligible students to social payment agencies annually.
