This decision was made due to the inability of the interim government to carry out a budget rectification. The funds will cover existing medical services and medications, addressing immediate financial pressures in the healthcare system. Nazare emphasized that while this move alleviates short-term issues, it does not resolve structural funding problems. He called for better predictability and control over health expenditures to ensure sustainable financing in the future.
