This deal allows MET to access flexible LNG supplies from the U.S., supporting its strategy to provide European clients with American LNG. The collaboration has evolved since a 10-year agreement in July 2024 and a Memorandum of Understanding in February 2026, aimed at exploring new LNG trading opportunities. The increasing demand for diversified supply portfolios makes U.S. LNG crucial for MET and its customers, helping to mitigate exposure to European gas price volatility.
