The Marconi Cinema in Bucharest will undergo complete restoration and reopen to the public for its centenary after two decades of neglect. Built in 1930, it showcases Art Deco architecture with notable bas-reliefs depicting mythological and biblical scenes. Originally serving as both a cinema and theater, it has a rich history reflecting political changes, including name changes after nationalization. The cinema ceased operations around 2000, leading to significant deterioration. Now privately owned, it is set to be restored in partnership with the Arcen association.
