Cozi tot mai mari pe Canalul Sulina. Transportul cerealelor se scumpește

The blockage at the Sulina Canal is affecting ship exits to the Black Sea, with around 13 vessels currently waiting. Waiting times have increased from one day to 3-4 days, impacting grain transport costs from Ukrainian ports. Avalon Shipping's operations manager reported that congestion is worsening, with only six ships able to dock in Tulcea while others wait in Ceatal. The situation is exacerbated by existing queues, with about 80 ships waiting earlier this week. Transport costs have risen significantly, with short route tariffs increasing by $10 per ton and longer routes by $20-25. Maintaining export routes is crucial for Ukraine, as delays could lead to over 9 million tons of grain lacking storage by October.
