Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur resigned following a scandal involving a fraudulent arms deal with an Indian company, resulting in a loss of 70 million euros. Estonia had pre-paid for artillery rockets intended for Ukraine to Datasel, a company with no prior experience in arms sales. Although some materials were delivered, they were unusable, and payments continued despite missed deadlines. Pevkur admitted to not thoroughly reviewing the contracts, and a criminal investigation has been initiated regarding the Ministry of Defense's administrative practices. Datasel has also filed a lawsuit against Estonia, claiming it fulfilled its obligations under the contract.
