Egypt has announced the discovery of a 4,000-year-old tomb belonging to a high official named Sekhentyu-Ptah in Saqqara. The tomb features hieroglyphic inscriptions detailing the official's titles, indicating his significant administrative role. Archaeologists found a complete set of alabaster funerary objects, including an offering table and a purification vessel. Additionally, a network of interconnected burial shafts and over 100 faience 'ushabti' figurines were uncovered. Three sealed stone sarcophagi and a wooden falcon statuette were also discovered, providing insights into ancient Egyptian funerary practices.
