Schimbare importantă la pompă de la 1 septembrie. Acciza la motorină scade cu 25%

The Romanian government has increased the diesel excise reduction to 25% starting September 1, aiming to alleviate price pressures in transportation. This adjustment follows a significant rise in international diesel prices, which have increased by over 45%. Despite previous reductions, fuel prices have continued to rise, with Romania experiencing the highest fuel price increase in the EU. Critics argue that oil companies have absorbed the state aid without passing on the benefits to consumers. Transport operators are also dissatisfied, calling for legislative changes to limit profit margins on fuel. The interim Prime Minister acknowledged the limited options available to the state amid global price increases.
