UE oferă ajutor de urgență pentru Nepal după viitură

The European Union has allocated 2 million euros in emergency humanitarian aid to Nepal following a catastrophic flood that resulted in significant loss of life and destruction. The flood was triggered by a massive ice and rock collapse in the Himalayas, causing rapid water surges that devastated entire villages. This funding aims to address immediate needs such as food, medical assistance, and clean water. Additionally, the EU had previously allocated nearly 3 million euros for disaster preparedness in Nepal earlier this year. Ursula von der Leyen expressed solidarity with the affected communities and announced that the Copernicus satellite service will provide real-time maps to assist rescue teams.
